Our love story

I met Nick when he crashed my 14th birthday house party. We didn’t speak the entire night and it wasn’t until a few weeks later that we saw each other again at another party where we ended up spending the entire night talking on a bus stop bench and the rest is history! We grew up and have been everyWHERE together; birthdays, formals, graduation, buying a house and now married!

The wedding venue & styling

Ceremony: Oakleigh Greek Orthodox Church

Reception: Aerial South Wharf

I loved the modern look of the venue, particularly the mirrored elevator and the windows that wrapped around the entire venue and showcased the gorgeous views of Melbourne’s skyline.

Rebecca Lafontaine was our event coordinator and I can not recommend her and Aerial enough. The staff were so helpful and offered first class service throughout the entire experience. We received so many compliments from our guest about the food and service on the night.

The theme/styling of my wedding I was going for was a modern chic white wonderland. I chose alternating large white cherry blossom and gold candelabra centerpieces with tea light candles scattered around the base and a stunning large floral chandelier ceiling installation that hung over the dancefloor to capture this look.

The Dress

The dress I had in mind at the beginning of the process versus what I ended up with was completely different! Originally I had always envisioned wearing a strapless or off the shoulder fitted fishtail dress on my wedding day. It wasn’t until after I had purchased a dress that I had an epiphany and decided I wanted a long sleeve dress with an open back.

This is where the beautiful and incredibly talented Cassandra came in. Where to begin... Cassandra was so wonderful and kind from start to finish! I felt that we instantly clicked and she new exactly what I was after. She worked so hard and went above and beyond at every turn to ensure I loved every inch of my dress. She was very honest and accommodating to all my insane questions! I was so happy with the way my dress turned and I can’t thank her enough for making my dream wedding dress become a reality.

I was very pleased to hear that my sister made the decision to go with Cassandra to make her wedding dress and it has been so great seeing her work her magic once again.
